What you are looking at is a Karma Ferrari Dino. There is no reserve for this car and it will not be withdrawn or sold elsewhere. Ready for summer the car is VWbased. This makes getting any spares very easy.

The wheels are genuine Ferrari split rims shod with good 235,60/15 tyres. On the outside there several Ferrari badges on the sides, front and rear.

The interior has 2 nearly new "motor drive" seats with full race 4 point harnesses in red. All the clocks and dials are nearly new, inserted in a replica Dino dash. Red alloy racing pedals, red leather Mountney steering wheel with Ferrari mono horn push and a  carbon fibre gearknob to complete the image inside.

The owner before me fitted a (removable) Sony CD player with a SPLX amplifier (not to my taste), 2 x 800w speakers to the rear and 2 x 100w to the footwells. I suppose these are okay if you get tired of the sound of the engine and exhaust!

The Engine/ Gearbox.

This is a 1300cc aircooled VW Beetle engine with chrome dressage kit (see picture). It is tuned to run on unleaded petrol. It has a "Bug Pack" race exhaust which sounds very loud and throaty. It comes with a spare custom made genuine Ferrari exhaust. The gearbox is again VW and is 4 speed. Apparently the engine had 33 thousand miles on it before being installed in this car. It has a new clutch recently fitted by a local VW specialist.

The car comes with 5 months MOT and 2 months tax. However the tax is free when the disc expires at the end of June as the vehicle is classed as an historic vehicle.

There are a few scratches on the car which should be simple to repair. The drivers window needs looking at as it fails to operate using the winder. I believe a second hand mechanism for this is a few pounds at a breakers yard. It comes complete with the headlining which I haven't had time to fit.

The insurance is cheap and companies like Adrian Flux will insure you with a limited mileage from about £100.

Wherever you go in this car you will turn heads. If they don't see you first they will hear you soon after. It is ideal for the summer months going to car shows or just for a weekend drive in the country. This is a very beautiful, elegant but inexpensive replica for the Ferrari fan. I am selling this as my girlfriend has other plans for my garage, and I need a four seater as an occaisional car.
